Writing Prompt Image—Open Doors

A few weeks ago, Mary Denman and I had the opportunity to travel by plane together to a conference. Both coming and going, our flights left before dawn so we were able to capture some amazing photos. This one in particular, a river seen from 40,000 feet, resonated with me.

What are you doing to walk through the
open doors in your journey?

Writing Prompt Image—Impossibilities

I took this picture off of my screened porch. I love to watch those rare times when it's raining and the sun is shining. It reminds me that God can do anything!

I'd love to know, what impossibilities has God worked in your life or the lives of those around you?

Writing Prompt Image—Mothers

Mothers, we seem to love to hate on them, rolling our eyes at their outdated opinions and clothing choices. But truthfully, where would we be without them?

I know my own mom was one of the first who validated my love of writing. And as much grief as I've brought to my own boys, they delight in telling others funny things I did that made their lives special.

I'd love to hear some of your own experiences.

Writing Prompt Image—Destination

I had run across this quote a while back and was on the lookout for a picture to illustrate it. Then, this past week while I was on a cruise to the Bahamas, I took this photo. I couldn't wait to share it with you, and be inspired by the things you're doing to make your dreams come true. So....

What are you doing to reach your destination?

Writing Prompt Image—What's Holding You Back?

Last week, I was at a low point, paralyzed by life's events. Jessica Kirkland, my agent, wrote a post on Facebook to encourage her clients. These were the last two lines she shared. God used these words to pull me out of my frozen state and reconnect me with the gift I was born to share. Her words reminded me that I wasn't even truly judging success or failure. My only measure can be obedience.

What about you?

What's holding you back?
