Where do You Find Help when Things get Hard?

I'd love to know where you find help when things get hard.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm  46:1

  1. "This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it" Isaiah 30:15 I turn to the Lord. When my soul is not at rest I examine my heart to see why. He usually reveals to me some forgiveness, pain or hurt. Sometimes it is just lack of sleep or proper nutrition. We are in His hand. John 10. When troubles come I imagine myself in His hand. Nothing can get to me. I remember all the times He provided, rescued and calmed the storms. I think of Psalm 37
    1.Do not fret because of those who are evil
    or be envious of those who do wrong;
    2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
    like green plants they will soon die away.
    3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
    4 Take delight in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.
    5 Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this:
    6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.
    7 Be still before the Lord
    and wait patiently for him;
    do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.

  3. I try to turn to God, first. When a friend has a need and calls me to ask for prayer, I ask if we can pray right then. I found this scripture a few years ago. Isaiah 41:10New International Version (NIV) 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
    I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
    New International Version (NIV)
