I have to admit autumn is my favorite time of year. I love the vibrant colors that God uses to paint the season. What's your favorite part of autumn or favorite memory?

I love Autumn! I find myself pulling off the road and snapping a photo of the treees. I think I have more photos of fall colors than even of my kids! I suppose it comes from a childhood in SoCal where leaves never change, unless it's to brown.
ReplyDeleteAne, I do the same thing to take photos. I never get in the car this time of year without my camera. Thanks so much for sharing, Blessings, E!
DeleteI love autumn because of all the colors. I grew up in Southern California where that doesn't happen. That's why I appreciate it so much.
ReplyDeleteEllen, I know what you mean. I grew up in Dallas and we had a minor sort of fall, but nothing like we get here. I hope I never take it for granted! Thanks so much for dropping by, Blessings, E
DeleteWhen my son was going to have his 21st birthday October 14, (21 yrs ago) I always thought the Fall leaves were so special and... we were never together for his birthdays... so I went out and collected ALL colors of leaves - they were so beautiful! - and took his wrapped gifts, including a scrapbook I made for him from his birth to age 21... then put all these stunningly beautiful leaves on top and put tissue on top of it... when he open the box, moved the tissue away, those leaves were the first thing he saw! He loved them! Then he found the scrapbook and was blown away I had found momentos, photos, all sorts of things that represented his childhood into adulthood and then the last were the wrapped gifts for him to unwrap. It was so special for him and he truly was thrilled. This is my favorite Fall memory to my Autumn Son (who is now 42). Its harder to find special things for him but I am always looking out for how I can surprise the little boy that is still in him.... don't we all like unexpected gifts that cost nothing, like the leaves, but represent love in their own way, too?
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful memory! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!! Blessings, E
DeleteThat was a beautiful memory to go with autumn leaves. I hear quite often that autumn is the favorite time of year. I also have a autumn child--a September baby. Let me tell you, of all the children born, September babies are unique. I have several September grandchildren, and it is like they have been pressed out of the same mold. They seem to be beautiful, rambunctious, live wires, always climbing, and always into things. On the other hand they are sensitive and very loving--and what not. Yes, fall is my favorite time of year as well. Greetings, Edie. Love the picture/saying.
