Weekend Worship—The Good Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:11
As we come into this Easter weekend my heart is overflowing when I consider what God has done for me. His sacrifice, so that I could join Him in eternity is much to big for my small mind to wrap around.
So I go back to Jesus’ words recorded in the book of John. In this short section, verses 11 through 17, Jesus talks about laying down His life five different times. This was His mission, His passion.
He came to die so I could live.
In those simple words we can find the keys to peace, forgiveness and joy.

  3. Edie, your comments reminded me the apostle John also states, in chapter 21, Jesus' words:
    "Feed my lambs."
    "Take care of my sheep."
    "Feed my sheep."

My prayer is we continue to seek ways to do this in service and with our writing.
    Blessings of Joy this Easter!

  4. The thing that most touched my heart this weekend is that He died for me because He loves me. A love I can't even fathom.

    He is risen!
