Last week I talked about the importance of a writers conference and how to pick one. This
week I want to highlight some of my favorites.
This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it should get
you started.
As you’re looking at these, I recommend you take note of
whether or not they offer critiques (paid or unpaid) and/or contests. Both of
these are great avenues to advance your craft and experience.

There are also many other conferences – large and small. Now

Don’t forget to join the conversation!

Writers conferences are almost a necessity these days...and they're so much fun! I often wonder how different my life would be if you and I hadn't connected all those years ago at Blue Ridge as two unpublished, totally green writers. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful God had that life-changing meeting planned for us!
Very helpful post, Edie. Thanks! May 20th can't come soon enough for me. :)
ReplyDeleteGREAT list. For those out in the Pacific Northwest the Northwest Christian Writers Renewal is May 18-19 this year in Redmond (just outside of Seattle.) Featuring Marshall Younger of Focus on the Family.
ReplyDeleteSandra Bishop (MacGregor Literary), Terry Glaspey (Harvest House), Carolyn McCready (Zondervan)and others taking appointments and teaching.
