Weekend Worship—Meditations from Ethiopia #6—True Worship
But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3
Worship in the small church in Ziway, Ethiopia was another of my favorite memories. I loved being a part of the exuberant praise that so exemplified their celebrations. Rather than try to describe the experience, today I’m posting a video. This was taken during one of the services we attended.
"HALLELUJAH!" means the same in any language... Praise God! These images make me homesick for Bugumba, Kenya, where I have twice been to serve and to learn. How precious the worship was there with Pastor Robert and Sweet Teresa! Oh how I wish Americans would open wide their hearts to The Spirit of the Living God!
If this is what we can experience here on earth, just imagine what heaven will be...
ReplyDeleteUnrestrained joy. Love it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful expression of joy in the Lord. An application of Psalm 149:3 "Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him"
ReplyDeleteUninhibited worship...if only everyone were so free in their expression of their love for Jesus.
ReplyDeleteLove watching this, Edie! Thanks!
