The plentiful foul language Mr. King used got in the way of my receiving the message he was communicating. It's so practical. I've read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. Thanks for other suggestions. I'll check them out. I'm currently reading Outlining Your Novel by K.M. Weiland. Once I progressed, I decided to focus on ones from individuals I "trusted" more than others (for lack of a better way of saying). I just finished "Bird by Bird" and enjoyed Lamott's talented description of being a writer. <br /><br />There are so many great craft-of-writing books. I also recommend "Self-editing for Fiction Writers" by Renni Browne and Dave King and "Fire Up Your Fiction" by Jodie Renner.
