I find that time in His word is what brings that clarity to the surface. I love the image of taking dictation for God that some have shared recently.Ginger Harringtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04479224226521076806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2907737240492304428.post-1716760589406927492014-08-17T19:10:44.709-04:002014-08-17T19:10:44.709-04:00Carrie, you're so right. Or she could have written mine.

I've been dealing with this a lot in the last seven weeks and have seen clear evidence that when I'm in doubt and stop to ask for clarification, the clarification is given.

Knowing the Bible is critical. That is, in the end, the only real confirmation. If I hear what I think is God telling me do something that contradicts a Biblical principal, then I know whose voice I'm really hearing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2907737240492304428.post-56769620016534251672014-08-17T13:05:30.364-04:002014-08-17T13:05:30.364-04:00Like Jennifer, I tend to think about it. Once my husband was out of work and looking for a job. He had an interview scheduled, but I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and couldn't sleep. Something about this job prospect disturbed me. I lay awake, praying, and asking God, "How can I tell him how I feel when he really needs a job?" In a few minutes, my husband asked me, "Are you awake?" He had also awakened and felt the same way. He called the next morning and cancelled the interview. We don't know why, but both of us felt that was God's way of telling us the job wasn't the right one for him.Joan Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16430939897829160498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2907737240492304428.post-34644238514060485322014-08-17T08:41:19.464-04:002014-08-17T08:41:19.464-04:00It s interesting you should share this for this we...It s interesting you should share this for this weekend, I just posted "God and His Word" on my blog. When you read it and read it out loud you can hear that familiar voice and clap for joy. Thanks for sharing the truth. I check to see if I'm listening to His voice by intentionally seeking His word before anything else hits my eyes, ears or mind. It's funny, Paul did the same thing when he went on his mission tours, and one time, God closed that door. :) It worked for Paul, and it works for me. :) Southern-fried Fictionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17274634359952391833noreply@blogger.com
