The subtle cliffhangers you mention "trick" us into continuing even more than the dramatic ones where we can put it down and say "Well, I'll wait and see what happens tomorrow." Because sometimes we do just have to sleep. And go to work. And eat. <br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14107686924115780685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2907737240492304428.post-66940761188799889642019-01-08T13:43:14.837-05:002019-01-08T13:43:14.837-05:00I enjoy reading stories that I can't put down....I enjoy reading stories that I can't put down. I think the "over and over" is key, and that appeals to me as a reader. Also as a reader, I have a love/hate relationship with cliff hangers. Before 10 PM, I love a good cliff hanger. After 10 PM, they make me kind of mad because I know I'm going to be tired at work the next day. :) Thanks for sharing!Karen Sargenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10762000226496483451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2907737240492304428.post-16478414705480769522019-01-08T11:51:03.577-05:002019-01-08T11:51:03.577-05:00Thanks for all the good advice. Some excellent thoughts on this. I need to revisit my manuscript and focus on chapter endings and consider balance. Thanks.
